What is your deposit and cancellation policy?To secure your reservation at Whitney Manor, your credit card will be charged a 50% deposit upon booking. The remaining balance will be processed on your arrival date using the credit card provided. If you plan to use a different credit card for the final payment, please contact us in advance. Your 50% deposit is fully refundable up to 14 days before your arrival date. Cancellations made after this period will result in the loss of your deposit.

What forms of payment do you accept?We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Canadian residents can also choose to pay via Interac e-Transfer for added convenience.

What taxes and fees do you charge?In addition to the 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax), we are required to charge a 5% Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT). This mandatory tax supports Kingston's tourism marketing and destination development efforts. Please note: A 3.4% fee is applied to all credit card transactions made through our website.

What time is check-in and check-out?Guests can check-in any time after 4 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. As Whitney Manor is a self-catered accommodation, we do not have staff on-site 24/7. If no staff member is present upon your arrival, please use our self-check-in service: Inside the main entrance, look to your immediate left. Open the envelope addressed to you. It contains your suite’s unique keyless entry code and important check-in details. If you have any questions or concerns, you can use the lobby phone to contact us directly.

Do you accept pets?Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel at Whitney Manor! Guests must adhere to the following pet policies: Pets must not disturb other guests. Pets must remain on a leash while on the property. Owners are responsible for any damages caused. To ensure your pet’s comfort during your stay, we provide: water and food bowls, treats, and waste bags. We charge a $25 cleaning fee per night for pets. If you have any questions about bringing your pet, please contact us directly.

Do you allow smoking in the guest rooms?No, Whitney Manor is a non-smoking property. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to the registered guest’s credit card if deep cleaning is required due to smoking inside the suite. For guests who smoke, there is a designated smoking area outside that is located beside the overflow parking lot. It includes a small table, chairs, and a smoking receptacle. We kindly ask guests to use this designated area to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for everyone.
